Last weekend, concerts took place in Wrocław as part of Santander Letnie Brzmienia. Previous editions of the summer tour were so popular that a two-day festival was organized in Wrocław as part of it. Among the stars of the event in the line-up were Poluzjanci, Natalia Kukulska, Artur Rojek, Kasia Nosowska, BIOS, Jan Marczewski and Łąki Łan.
Katarzyna Nosowska’s concert was interrupted. The audience was evacuated
Unfortunately, the weather was not conducive to fun. Clouds had been gathering over the festival area since the beginning of the event, and around 9:00 PM it began to rain lightly. Participants waited with hope for the rain to end, but the situation was becoming increasingly dangerous.
During Nosowska’s performance, the downpour was so heavy that the organizers decided to evacuate the participants. “Due to weather conditions and in the interests of your safety, we are interrupting the concerts in Wrocław,” was the announcement. According to Gazeta Wrocławska, most of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship received a notification of the third, highest level of weather threat. This means that the ongoing storm and gale could pose a serious threat to anyone who was outside their homes.
Storms and downpours against festivals. First day of Audioriver in Łódź canceled
“Please remain calm, follow the security recommendations and immediately head for the exits,” the event organizers reassured the participants. Due to the current situation, the band Łąki Łan could not play on the Santander Letnie Brzmienia stage. The artists’ performance was canceled entirely.
A similar situation befell the participants of the Audioriver festival in Łódź. The first day of the event was completely canceled due to the prevailing weather conditions. “We had no choice. A storm front is approaching from the Czech Republic, with storms stronger than those we experienced in the first hours of the event. We ask for your understanding and patience,” the event organizers appealed.
