She graduated from the Warsaw Theatre School in 1988 and began her career almost immediately. Initially, she performed mainly on the stages of the Polish and Ateneum Theatres, but she also has quite a few interesting roles on both the small and big screen. She undoubtedly owes her popularity to the series , in which she has played the role of Maria Rogowska, the mother of the Zduński brothers (played by the Mroczek brothers) since 2000.

In breaks from her intensive work on the set, the actress relaxes in her apartment in Warsaw’s Saska Kępa. As she admitted some time ago in an interview for the Weranda.pl portal, this district of the capital enchanted her with its omnipresent nature, which is conducive to both relaxation and creative work. However, before she could move in and start decorating the interiors, a thorough renovation was necessary. This did not happen without complications.
She entrusted the task to a professional construction team, or so she thought at the time. It quickly turned out that the specialists were dishonest, and delays and failure to adhere to previously established rules were commonplace. After many weeks of unsuccessful negotiations, the last straw was finally enough. She ended her cooperation with the specialists, commissioning another company to do the work. This turned out to be a bull’s eye, and soon she was able to start building her dream nest.

Many people are certainly curious about the interior of Marysia’s house. The actress made sure that every part of it was decorated with attention to even the smallest detail. The rooms are bright and complemented by classic wooden furniture in dark brown colors. On the shelves there are accessories referring to the profession she performs every day, but there is also no shortage of modern accents in the form of lamps, vases and other knick-knacks.
The walls are decorated with paintings and graphics, but there is also no shortage of family photos. In turn, the shelf in the living room houses a large collection of books, which is complemented by numerous souvenirs from exotic travels and other trips abroad.
In almost every corner of the house there are also places prepared with animals in mind, because Pieńkowska is the owner of dogs and a cat, which, as she has emphasized many times in interviews, she simply adores. The atmosphere of the rooms is added by various kinds of flowers, both potted and freshly cut.
She also loves ceramics, and even has a large collection of products from the famous Bolesławiec factory. But that’s not all. The windows overlook the picturesque surroundings and the large garden that belongs to the apartment. This is where she relaxes, sipping coffee and reading books or watching the squirrels and birds that visit the feeders she has hung in the trees.
