Just a few years ago, Łukasz Dziemidok appeared in leading television productions. He played Aleksandra Lubicz’s fiancé in “Klan”, Patryk Sklasky in “Pierwsza miłość” and Makos in “Pensjonat pod Różą”. Viewers could also see him in “Fala zbrodni” and “Świat według Kiepskich”. In 2008, the actor appeared in the program “Jak oni śpiewają?”, where he came eighth.
Łukasz Dziemidok quit acting and moved to the USA
Although the door to a further career was wide open for him, Łukasz Dziemidok made a decision that shocked his fans – he decided to give up acting. He exchanged work on the set for a psychotherapy office, where he currently sees his patients in the United States. In an interview for Shownews.pl, which he gave at the end of last year, he admitted that he does not regret the decision to leave Poland: “I have never regretted it. If I had not left and stayed in the USA, I would never have completed my studies in psychotherapy at the California State University and would not have become a licensed marriage and family psychotherapist,” he stated, adding that working with people and helping them gives him inner joy.
However, he does not rule out that he will appear on the set again in the future. “There is and always will be a certain part of me, me ‘Łukasz the actor’, and I cannot say with one hundred percent certainty that I will never return to this profession in some capacity. In the United States, I made some independent short films and a theater for the Polish diaspora on the occasion of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising,” he explained in an interview for Shownews.pl. However, Łukasz Dziemidok values independence, which is guaranteed to him by a steady source of income. As he admitted, in the past he was stressed by waiting for a call from television producers and the pressure related to whether he would be able to find a lucrative source of income. “This psychological pressure very often burns many actors,” he added.
