“Gladiator 2”. When will it premiere in Polish cinemas?

“Gladiator 2” will be a continuation of the events of the previous film. The world and Polish premiere of the production is scheduled for November 15, 2024. The first trailer of the long-awaited work has already appeared on the web.

In the three-minute trailer, we see Lucius’ past, watching Maximus fight as a young boy. There are even fragments of “Gladiator” with Russell Crowe. “I remember the day when a slave took revenge on the emperor,” says a hopeful Lucius, who admits that he doesn’t know exactly who he is or where he comes from.

The dynamic trailer presents numerous scenes of great battles, individual tragedies, duels and the determination of the heroes. Each scene exudes splendor and fast-paced action. Anger is seething from the film’s Lucius, who in the published fragment was able to outwit even a huge rhinoceros. The last seconds are already the apogee of emotions, we see in them a fierce fight between Lucius and Marcus Actius to the death.

“Gladiator 2” with the first trailer. Viewers divided

There were many skeptical comments under the film’s trailer. “It doesn’t look bad, but it’s still the most unnecessary sequel ever,” writes one fan of the first “Gladiator.” “It looks like it’s forcibly connected to the first Gladiator,” “RIP Gladiator,” “pales next to the original,” “horrible trailer,” “it’s like Cameron made a sequel to ‘Titanic’,” we read in the comments.

For others, the trailer restored their faith that “Gladiator 2” will be a successful production. “It doesn’t look bad”, “I really like the trailer and I’m looking forward to the film”, “it looks like a great show!”, “Pedro Pascal and Paul Mescal are awesome” – these are the comments of excited viewers.

Ridley Scott’s latest work is one of the most anticipated films of this year. It is also a production that may turn out to be the biggest hit. Its cast alone justifies the hopes placed in it. In the film we will see Paul Mescal (“Aftersun”, “Good Strangers”), who will play the role of Lucius, Pedro Pascal (“Mandalorian”, “The Last of Us”) playing the Roman general Marcus Acacius, Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things”, “A Quiet Place”), the emperor Geta and Daniel Washington as Macrinus – the slave owner.
