The bride demanded that her maid of honor pay for her luxuries. “If you don’t have any, get a credit card.”

Before a wedding and wedding reception take place, they are often preceded by numerous preparations. It happens that these sometimes get out of control. A certain maid of honor found this out the hard way when she asked the bride to reduce her expenses. Instead of working out a compromise, the bride told her to open a credit card.

Organizing a wedding is not only a complicated undertaking, but also involves high costs. The galloping price increases mean that engaged couples planning the event must reckon with unforeseen expenses. Witnesses are often involved in organizing the wedding, which often strains their budgets – after all, you have to organize a hen and stag party, buy outfits, put in an envelope… However, some forget about this and instead of compromising, they demand more and more.

The bride wanted a fairytale wedding. Expectations and budget exceeded the maid of honour

One TikTok user, who runs a profile called @macydalydog, posted photos of a conversation with her friend, a future bride for whom she was supposed to be a bridesmaid. The woman asked if there was a chance to reduce wedding expenses, because her budget was already stretched. She even mentioned a student loan.

“Hey, are you available to talk this week? I really don’t know if I can afford this kind of expense. We’re approaching $20,000 with expenses, and I could pay off my student loans for that amount,” she wrote. As if that wasn’t enough, she suggested various options, which were met with immediate rejection. She asked if the bachelorette party could be more modest. Unfortunately, the suggestion only enraged the future bride. The entire video can be viewed .

“A wedding and marriage happens once in a lifetime. Maybe you should use a credit card”

The bride accused her maid of honor of not being interested in her and instead of doing everything to make her happy, she was making up problems and asking frivolous questions. “I’ve asked you more than once to simply find a way to get the money. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Maybe you could use a credit card,” the bride suggested, adding that she could ask a friend to lend her the money. She didn’t understand what the problem was, which hurt the woman the most. All she wanted was to lower the cost a little. However, the fiancĂ©e made it clear that without it, her wedding wouldn’t take place. As a result, she lost not only her maid of honor, but also her friend.
