Many spa guests go to health resorts not only for medical treatment, but also for entertainment. – Older people come and have peers who want to spend time with them in the way they like – in “Pytanie na śniadanie”. However, not all acquaintances are sincere. What happened to a certain older gentleman in a health resort was shared with the Polki.pl portal by his son, Mr. Tomasz.
He visited his father in the sanatorium. He seemed absent
Mr. Tomasz was delegated for a week-long training some time ago. It turned out that the course would take place only a dozen or so kilometers from the sanatorium where his father was staying. So he decided to visit him. When he informed him about his visit, however, he did not hear any enthusiasm in his voice. “After his mother died, he closed himself in his shell of loneliness, he did not go anywhere, did not meet anyone. He was already retired. Sometimes he only tinkered with old watches, of which he had a beautiful, valuable collection. It was a souvenir from the time when he worked as a watchmaker,” wrote Mr. Tomasz. The man admitted that when he got there, his father was not very talkative, although he asked about his family and work, his thoughts were as if absent. Every now and then he would glance over the balcony railing, at the square used by the spa guests.
“This lady’s watch broke, she dipped it in the jacuzzi”
Mr. Tomasz noticed that there was a watch on the table and immediately asked his father if he had started earning some extra money. He replied: “This lady’s watch broke, she dipped it in the jacuzzi. Why would she give such a trinket to someone else? (…) At some point, my father moved more quickly, his eyes brightened. I followed his gaze and noticed that the object of his interest was an older lady, elegant, although perhaps a bit too boldly dressed for her age. But my father must have liked her a lot, because he couldn’t take his eyes off her.” Mr. Tomasz sensed that something was up and immediately asked him if the watch belonged to her, and he confirmed.

She caught the eye of a pensioner. She was only interested in money
After a short conversation, it turned out that the pensioners had arranged to go for a walk. Mr. Tomasz had only seen the woman for a moment, but he had mixed feelings about her. “Father is a really decent, honest man and it would be a shame to waste him on some vamp. Probably ten years of loneliness made it easy for him to have an autumn eclipse of the heart. And I didn’t want him to suffer from disappointed love later. Supposedly, father was an adult and I shouldn’t interfere in his life, but I felt that I had to do something, at least find out something about this Mrs. Aniela,” wrote Mr. Tomasz. During his next visit, the man engaged in a chat with the woman at the reception desk.
She is very lonely, her children hurt her, she gave them everything and she doesn’t even have a place to live, so she is looking for an easy opportunity
– said the employee. The day before the end of the training, Mr. Tomasz decided to visit his father for the last time. This time, when he heard about the visit, he was very happy. As it turned out, he needed a manly conversation. He explained to his son that the woman had lied to him and was only interested in money: “She threw that watch into the water on purpose to get closer to me. You know, she thought I was a guy with money, she heard someone call me ‘master'”. Mr. Tomasz felt a weight lifted from his heart. “No spa vamp would hurt my dad. But somewhere deep inside I felt a shadow of disappointment. It’s a shame that his autumn eclipse of the heart ended like this” – he concluded.
