Piotr G±sowski has Russian roots. His parents met in Moscow. Who was the actor’s mother?

Piotr G±sowski has repeatedly emphasized that it is not his career, but his family that is his greatest priority. He had a special bond with his parents, especially with his mother, who died 5 years ago. Few people know that it was she who infected him with a passion for art, as she was an artist herself.

Piotr Gąsowski is one of the most popular Polish actors and presenters on Polish television. He has roles in productions such as “Bank nie z tej ziemi”, “Hela w opałach”, and “Magda M.”, and he also fulfilled himself as a juror on the Polsat program. He was born on April 16, 1964 in Mielec as the second son of Włodzimierz Gąsowski, a professor at the Poznań University of Technology, and Nina Gąsowska, a painter from Russia. How did his parents meet?

Gąsowski’s mother left her job to raise her son. She only found professional fulfillment when they were adults.

Few people know that the actor’s father studied at a technical university in Moscow in the mid-1950s. During an integration party at the dormitory where he lived at the time, he was attracted to a beautiful, artistically talented girl of his age. They started talking and a few days later they were inseparable. After only 3 years of knowing each other, they got married and then moved to Poland.

My good fortune made Poland my second homeland, my love, my home

– wrote Nina Gąsowska in her autobiography. For some time the young couple lived in Mielec, and later they moved to Poznań. Włodzimierz Gąsowski started working there as a university lecturer, and his wife found employment at an energy technical school. After the birth of her sons, Igor and Piotr, she took care of the house and their upbringing. However, she did not give up on her own dreams and plans, but only postponed them.

When her children grew up and left the nest, she could finally focus on herself. It was then that she decided to pursue her greatest passion, which her mother had instilled in her when she was still a little girl. So she began studies in the field, which she successfully completed, and shortly afterwards joined the Association of Visual Artists. She not only created paintings, but also dealt with artistic weaving and writing. Towards the end of her life, she published the book “Ekspres Moskwa – Milanówek”.

For the presenter, his mother has always been a role model. Now, Gąsowski is cultivating a relationship with his 90-year-old father

he always emphasized that his mother was his greatest support and inspiration. – She is open to people and unpretentious. It is really hard not to love her – he said proudly in “Gala”. When Nina Gąsowska died in early 2018, he could not come to terms with it for a long time.

Thanks to you, I am not ashamed to hug and say I love you to my children many times. And daddy Włodek is not ashamed of this confession, addressing it to me and Igor. This, Mommy, is your great merit.

– he emphasized, publishing a post dedicated to her on social media. At the same time, he added that he could always rely on her good advice and support, and what she taught him, he will try to pass on to his children.

The actor has an equally close relationship with his father, whom he still affectionately calls “daddy” despite being 60 years old. In a post dedicated to him on the occasion, he emphasized that it is to him that he owes his ability to talk about feelings so honestly and openly, something that was not so obvious to many parents when he was growing up.

We always felt that you loved us and you weren’t ashamed to tell us. This is extremely rare among our peers, and it’s what we all need.

– he wrote, not hiding the fact that although he and his brother already have their own families, their father still treats them as if they were children and he hopes that this will never change. If you’d like, please vote in our poll below.
