And you do not have to spend a fortune on expensive cosmetics or expensive treatments in a beauty salon. How to take care of your skin with home remedies?

Natural skincare methods are making a comeback. Especially in summer, it is worth reaching for ingredients that Mother Nature has “prepared” for us, i.e. seasonal fruits. A great suggestion would be, for example, a cooling, moisturizing and smoothing homemade face mask with watermelon in the lead role. This fruit consists mostly of water and is one of the most anticipated fruits of summer. It is perfectly refreshing and tastes great. However, not everyone knows that its properties also work well in home care. So if we have this fruit in the fridge, it is worth taking full advantage of it.

Watermelon mask for beautiful skin

Your complexion will thank you for this mask, especially after a hot day. It works similarly to aloe – it refreshes, moisturizes and reduces swelling. It works best in a set with natural yogurt and almonds. Yogurt is a rich source of lactic acid, which rebuilds the epidermis, and almonds are a wealth of unsaturated fatty acids, which intensively moisturize the skin and improve its elasticity.

And the cherry on top: a watermelon mask can also have a rejuvenating effect. The intense color of this juicy fruit is due to antioxidants from the carotenoid group, mainly lycopene (which is also responsible for the distinctive red of tomatoes). Antioxidants fight the effects of free radicals and delay the aging processes of tissues.

How to make a watermelon and yogurt mask?

We will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fresh watermelon
  • 1 handful of peeled almonds

First, soak the almonds in cold water overnight. The next day, when they have softened significantly, mix them with yogurt and watermelon. Spread the mask on your face and leave it on for about 15-20 minutes. After that time, simply rinse it off with lukewarm water. With regular use, you will notice the effect quite quickly. Your skin will be visibly nourished, moisturized, brightened and more radiant.
