Beautiful, elastic and radiant skin is a goal that many women strive for. To achieve it, we are able to devote a really large amount of time and money. Cosmetics, treatments in salons and special diets are supposed to help us maintain a healthy appearance. And sometimes it is worth going back to old methods and thinking about how our mothers and grandmothers managed to maintain their beauty a few decades ago. One of them is a bit forgotten today, but in the past it was used non-stop.
Our grandmothers ate it in abundance. It is delicious and slows down the appearance of wrinkles.
Many beauty experts repeat like a mantra that we can spend a lot of money on cosmetics and treatments, but the effect may be short-lived. Only taking care of our skin from the inside will effectively improve its condition. Well-nourished, it will look radiant and retain its elasticity for longer, and as a result, the signs of aging will progress much slower.
In the times of the Polish People’s Republic, one product in particular triumphed. It is the most ordinary jelly in the world. It is a source of collagen, which is responsible for the elasticity and youthful appearance of our skin. Regularly consumed by our mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers, it allowed us to postpone and alleviate the naturally appearing signs of aging. In the past, it was served every now and then for dessert or afternoon tea. This was largely due to its easy availability. Colorful jellies also pleased the eye and palate, as well as our skin and joints, which also need collagen to function better.
Store-bought jelly is cheap and easy to get, but let’s be honest, it contains a lot of sugar, which is not good for your skin. A better solution is to make it yourself, which is just as easy as going to the store for a sachet of ready-made powder.
