Biedronka employee about customers paying in cash. “They don’t respect money, and supposedly there is poverty”

In recent years, we have become accustomed to cashless transactions. Although we see customers paying with banknotes less and less often in stores, such people still do happen – to the annoyance of cashiers. One of the Biedronka employees explained in a short recording what the problem is.

The woman who gained popularity on TikTok as “Pyśka” often shares various interesting facts about working at Biedronka with her followers. She plays out humorous scenes in which she shows the backstage of work with a wink and draws attention to the troublesome behavior of customers. This time, she took a closer look at people who pay in cash at the store. Although it would seem that there is nothing wrong with it, the way they do it raises doubts.

How do customers pay with cash?

In her latest TikTok video, Pyśka demonstrated how some customers pay with cash. At the beginning, we see a woman throwing a small cube of PLN 20 onto the counter. The employee has to reach out to pick up the banknote and then unfold it.

There are also those who lick their hand before reaching for their wallet and hand the store staff slobbery banknotes. The third category consists of people who take coins out of their pockets and pour them out in front of the saleswoman along with other items. Then, beer caps, lint and other rubbish end up on the counter. “And how do you get paid?” – asked a Biedronka employee under the recording.

“They don’t respect money”

TikTok users shared their experiences in the comments. “I work at a cash register and believe me, people do this. They don’t respect money, and supposedly there’s poverty”, “I work in a supermarket and it happens more and more often that people take two rolls for 37 groszy and give 100 PLN, saying they have no other way. And the wallet doesn’t close with change”, “The worst is when they drool over money” – we read.
