The new variant of the omicron coronavirus made the Ministry of Health decide to introduce new restrictions in order to stop the development of the next wave of the pandemic. include:
- 75 percent occupancy in public transport,
- 30 percent occupancy by unvaccinated persons in restaurants, bars and hotels, cinemas, theaters, sports and religious facilities. Increasing the limit possible after verifying the vaccinated persons,
- closing clubs, discos and dancing places,
- mandatory tests for coronavirus – mandatory tests also for those vaccinated when they live with an infected person and 24 hours before arrival to Poland from a country outside the Schengen area.
The restrictions for New Year’s Eve 2021 are eased at the moment
However, an exception to the closing of the dancing places was made on New Year’s Eve. As announced by the Ministry of Health, clubs and discos will be able to be open. Fun in these places will have to take place in the sanitary regime, and up to 100 people will be able to take part in them. The organization of outdoor events is also possible.
The ministry does not rule out that there will be new restrictions. New Year’s Eve may look like a year ago?

If we can see that there are more and more omicron cases, at the same time we are going to notice that there may be more and more occupied hospital beds, then quick decisions will have to be made.
