Compulsory vaccinations for COVID in Poland from the new year. There is a draft regulation

On Thursday, December 23, 2021, the draft ordinance of the Minister of Health amending the ordinance on the declaration of an epidemic in the territory of the Republic of Poland was sent for publication in the Journal of Laws. In order to limit the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in society, it provides, however, not for everyone.

Mandatory vaccinations for COVID in Poland will be for three groups

The Minister of Health has been sent for publication, which means that selected groups will have until March 1, 2022 to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Compulsory vaccinations were imposed on pharmacists and students preparing to practice medicine.

These will not be the only changes from the new year. Covid passports with shorter validity period

According to the European Commission regulation, the shorter validity will apply to as many as 27 EU countries, including Poland. From February 1, 2022, they will be valid not for 12 months, as before, but for 9. Importantly, according to the spokesman of the Ministry of Health, shorter covid passports will not only be those issued after February 1, but also all earlier ones.

There are also other ideas to fight the coronavirus pandemic

Another solution that would encourage Poles to vaccinate was presented in an interview with Rzeczpospolita by Andrzej Horban, the prime minister’s advisor on COVID-19. In his opinion, vaccinations should be compulsory for everyone. For those who refuse the vaccine, she should stay. Horban also suggests that verification of vaccine passports should become mandatory.
