12 years have passed and the conflict between Rojek and Myslovitz is still going on: I think that maybe they will even die with it

Artur Rojek openly said what his attitude towards Myslovitz is now. Even though twelve years have passed since the breakup, the topic still arouses emotions, both for Rojek and his former bandmates.

Artur Rojek left Myslovitz in 2012, after two decades of cooperation. As he himself admits in an interview for the podcast “Bez Unik” by Piotr Witwicki, working with the team was full of successes, but also conflicts and clashes of ambitions. “If we were good, we would play together all the time” – says Rojek. These words reflect the tensions that grew between the band members, despite many shared successes and unforgettable moments.

Rojek emphasizes that despite the passage of time, the wounds related to the breakup have not healed:

I might not call it that way, but there is a saying I heard recently (…) ‘Revenge is patient’. I think that will live on in some people and I think that maybe they will even die with it, thinking about it all the time

Life after Myslovitz

After leaving Myslovitz, Artur Rojek focused on his solo career and organizing the OFF Festival. As he says, he doesn’t want to live in the past: “I didn’t leave Myslovitz to live Myslovitz”. Rojek’s last release was the single “A Little Bit More”. So far, there is no detailed information about the new album. Rojek tries to adapt to the dynamically changing music market while remaining true to his passion for creating songs.

Myslovitz’s reactions to Rojek’s departure

Artur Rojek’s departure was a shock for the fans and the band itself. In the first years after the breakup, both parties spoke very bitterly about each other. Over time, the tone of these statements has softened, but there is still no talk of returning to playing together. “It will live on in some people and I think they will even die with it.” – says Rojek, emphasizing that some members of the band still carry old grudges.

Behind the scenes of parting with Myslovitz

Artur Rojek left Myslovitz in 2012, but preparations for this step had already been underway. Conflicts grew over the years, and differences in artistic vision and ambition were irreconcilable. Rojek, who always had a strong sense of creative independence, decided to pursue a solo career, which gave him his own ideas without compromise.

Myslovitz after Rojek’s departure

After Rojek’s departure, Myslovitz had to face a wave of hate. The fans and the band had to redefine their identity. Over the years, the group tried to prove that they could function without their charismatic vocalist, although this process was not easy. Each new album and concert was assessed through the prism of the past and inevitable comparisons to the times with Rojek.

Currently, Artur Rojek and Myslovitz follow separate paths. Rojek continues his solo career, focusing on new musical projects and organizing the OFF Festival, which has become one of the most important musical events in Poland. Myslovitz continues to perform, and this year released a rather warmly received album “Wszystkie Narcotyki Świata”. Despite the difficulties, the band is trying to find its way and build a new identity without its former leader.
