“Here” stars and . Although years ago, as very young actors, they played Forrest Gump and Jenny Curran, now we will see them again in a rejuvenated version. In “Here” he wants to show as many as 60 years of history.
“Here” Like “Forrest Gump.” Robert Zemeckis Works Again With Tom Hanks and Robin Wright
The legendary director will adapt Richard McGuire’s graphic novella. Robert Zemeckis’ “Here” has one set – a spacious room, where the camera will be stationary in one place. The entire action of the film will take place only here, and we will see Tom Hanks and Robin Wright on the screen. The three of them – Hanks, Wright and Zemeckis – last worked together on the set of “Forrest Gump” in 1994. Wright was 28 at the time and Hanks – 38.
In “Here” they were rejuvenated by computer, because the action of the film begins in the 1960s, when the main characters were young. It will also show much earlier events, starting from prehistory, but here too the camera will not move an inch. In the first trailer, released by the producers, Hanks and Wright look like they were taken straight from the refreshed version of “”, which was also expressed by commenters who asked the creators whether “Here” will be the second part or an alternative version of “Forrest”.
“Here” by Zemeckis will not differ from the pictorial “Here” by McGuire. The comic book, which was initially published in 1989 and received a new, 300-page version in 2010, has the same structure as announced in the film. Each comic book “window” shows events that happen in subsequent years, decades or eras in exactly the same place on Earth. The story begins in the times of dinosaurs and ends in 2030. It is not arranged chronologically, I experiment with pasting subsequent scenes into others, as you can see in the photo below:
The trailer announces that Zemeckis intends to maintain a similar way of presenting the story in the film.
