The Bertsolaris Gipuzkoa Championship will begin on September 14 in Urretxu. In total, 48 bertsolaris will compete in 16 recitals (seven in the round of 16, five in the quarter-finals, three semi-finals and the final), 34 of which have achieved their place this spring, in the Gipuzkoa Bertsotan qualification phase, and 14 sealed their presence through their performance in the previous edition of the championship, five years ago.
This edition arrives after five years of waiting (it is celebrated every four years, but the pandemic snuck in), on a remarkable date: fifty years have passed since the first bertso eskola in Gipuzkoa was founded,
