Krzysztof Skiba will appear in court. “I think there will be great joy around this matter”

Krzysztof Skiba has often spoken harshly in the media about the actions of politicians and musicians. Sometimes it ends in court. This time, however, he faces a trial over the lyrics of the song.

Five trials involving Jacek Kurski, former head of TVP, public television, and the discontinued case after being sued by Michał Rachoń (for publicly suggesting that TVP contributed to the murder of the president of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz) are just some examples. Krzysztof Skiba in an interview with Plejada that he won all the trials that took place after his comments on social media.

Now he will have to defend the lyrics of one of the songs. Skiba said that the hearing is scheduled for July 2, but he is not revealing details yet. Big Cyc vocalist says:

It will be a trial for the song. There hasn’t been a trial for a song in a long time. There were lawsuits over copyright, but no trial over the content. Someone thought my song offended him. I think there will be a lot of fun around this issue. I’ll keep the details secret for now because that’s what my lawyer advised me to do.

He once showed his buttocks to the Prime Minister and ended up with a fine

The musician is known for his sharp tongue and several scandals. In 1999, after the “Play-Box” radio station awards ceremony organized at the Spodek Arena in Katowice, he exposed his buttocks to the then Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek, who was present at the ceremony. The politician left the event, and the musician was fined 1.2 thousand złoty for the incident.

In 1988, Skiba became a member of the band Big Cyc, in which he sings and in the initial period of the band’s existence he was responsible for the lyrics of the songs. In addition, there is also, among others, satirist and publicist. He published, for example, in “Tygodnik Literacki”, the literary quarterly “Brulion”, “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Wprost” and “CKM”. In 2005, he published a collection of published columns “Skiba w mur”.
