We have certainly been irritated more than once by the sight of customers approaching bread baskets in supermarkets and touching Kaiser rolls, baguettes or whole loaves of bread from all sides. And often they don’t do it through a plastic bag or glove, but with their bare hands. However, it doesn’t only happen in Poland. Foreign stores have already introduced safeguards against unhygienic practices.
You can’t touch the bread in these stores. “I think it’s a great idea”
Some countries, such as Portugal, have already used methods to discourage customers from touching the bread and putting it back into the container. A recording appeared on one of the Instagram pages called “Wixabloom” showing how Portuguese supermarkets dealt with this “procedure”.
The video shows compartments with baked goods. We can’t put our hands in them. So how do we get the bread out? Each container has a tiny, oblong hole and a spatula, which we use to remove the bread. “What do you think about this touchless system? In my opinion, it’s a great idea and really easy to use, no plastic is wasted on gloves, which we know not everyone uses anyway,” it was written in the description of the video.
“At least they’re not being groped by everyone.”
A discussion broke out under the post. It turns out that similar solutions are also available, among others: in Germany and the Netherlands. “Great, no more touching everything,” Internet users write under the video. “So how do you check if it’s fresh?” – others ask. “I think it’s cool, you take the roll you want, knowing that no one touched it before you,” we read in another comment under the video.
“A very good idea, at least not everyone touches them. Because most of us don’t use disposable gloves”, “When I saw a lady in Biedra scooping pistachios with her bare hand, I had enough. That’s why I never buy from such places” – they share some Internet users with their observations. However, some people believe that such a solution would not be effective in the long run in our country.
After all, a Pole can do it, you just have to open the side and see what the problem is. No sense
Here, they throw them all aside with this shovel, and then, according to Polish tradition, they feel each one
