Mullein flowers contain saponins, flavonoids, phenolic acids, polysaccharides and iridoids. They have antibacterial properties and support the healing of wounds and burns, and support the treatment of diarrhea and intestinal colic. They are used in cases of cough because they soothe cough, have an expectorant effect and help with irritated mucous membranes. Mullein infusion has anti-inflammatory properties and relieves respiratory symptoms.

ADVICE! Mullein infusion is prepared from fresh flowers. The spoon should be poured with boiling water and covered with a saucer. After about 15 minutes it is ready to drink. To improve the taste, you can add a little honey, raspberry juice or ginger.

  • Tincture mullein rubbed into the skin soothes rheumatic pain, and when taken orally, it relieves cough, sore throat and helps with stressed vocal cords. Just pour 500 ml of spirit over 100 g of flowers and set aside for two weeks. When the tincture is ready, dissolve 10 drops in a glass of water and drink.
  • Syrup helps with throat, upper respiratory tract and cough infections. Pour 1.5 cups of water over a glass of fresh flowers and leave for 24 hours. Then we strain the mixture to obtain the juice from the plant. Throw away the flowers, cover the juice with sugar and cook for 30 minutes.
