Many years ago, Michel Moran decided to move to Poland. The French restaurateur opened Bistro de Paris in Warsaw and started a new life with his wife Halina. Shortly thereafter, Moran fell into trouble with the law due to family disputes.
Michel Moran had a run-in with the law. The “MasterChef” juror was arrested
In an interview with “Super Express”, the MasterChef juror admitted that he stopped paying alimony after his ex-wife began to hinder his contact with his teenage son. As a result, the restaurateur was arrested and then deported to France. “My wife went to court and complained that I wasn’t paying alimony, that she didn’t know where I was, which was untrue, because she knew perfectly well where I lived. Over time, she forgot everything, but the court didn’t forget. When the hearing came, she didn’t show up. However, the maximum sentence was imposed – one year in prison,” Moran explained in an interview with “Super Express”.
The restaurateur had to wait an exceptionally short time for deportation to France, only 2.5 months. According to Moran, this was the only way to finally see his son. “It’s not always rosy when we break up. She said she didn’t know where I lived, but it was clear that I already lived in Poland,” explained the restaurateur, who, after the dispute ended, paid his ex-wife the outstanding alimony for his son. Two years later, the 14-year-old asked the court to let him live in Poland with his father and stepmother.
