There is no shortage of more or less humorous videos on the Internet related to shopping in popular stores. Some people share their tips, e.g. how to save. Others comply. One of such recordings appeared on the Internet recently and is already causing a sensation. Some will laugh, while others will nervously look away.
Control trolley at Biedronka. Customers’ methods are such that hats off
In the video published by user majkel_bo, at first glance we see standard scanned purchases at the checkout. The cashier takes the next products, moves them over the reader and continues to the packaging area. However, he must stop at each of them. He checks carefully, catching all possible hidden secrets developed by customers. It turns out that they can resort to really subtle ways to “save” on purchases, that is, simply steal some of them.
We see, among other things, adding flat products between milk cartons, mixing more expensive tomatoes with cheaper ones and charging them at a better price, or covering the product code with another, cheaper one. The smile of the cashier (and probably also of many viewers) was made by the egg packaging, which contains eggs, but there are surprises in them.

The recording was made in a mocking manner, but it drew attention to a serious problem. This is the most common theft in the world. Store employees and security are aware of customers’ inventive ways of taking away products without paying. Bah! They themselves are tested while working. This is how the so-called control trolley, i.e. “mystery shopper version: thief”.
The comments included both the experiences of other store employees and surprised customers. Not everyone was aware that such inspections were taking place. And they don’t have to be as exaggerated as in the attached video. “Hey, I thought they opened the eggs to check if they were broken,” one of the users laughed. “I would probably burn with shame,” added another.
I once worked in a similar store and, in my opinion, the worst thing was that the check trolley was made by another employee, e.g. a cashier. You check out your work buddy’s purchases, talk, etc., and finally, your wife.
And imagine that the cashier checks every customer like this… There are already long queues in Biedra, and in this case?
