“Game of Thrones” caused a lot of controversy with numerous erotic scenes and displays of violence and cruelty. “Road of the Dragon” goes in a similar direction, but as it turns out, the creators removed one of the most juicy scenes.

On June 17, the first episode of the second season of “” debuted on the Max platform in Poland. In North America, it was available a day earlier and recorded a 20 percent lower viewership result compared to the pilot episode of the series from 2022. Also, the reception of the series by critics after one episode is not as enthusiastic as the creators had hoped.

“Rood of the Dragon” saw a drop in viewership

“It was supposed to be bloody – and it seems to be. There was supposed to be a lot of action – and it almost is. There were supposed to be conspiracies – there are. And yet something doesn’t spark in this first episode of the second season of “Road of the Dragon” – . And indeed. Theories and controversy have been growing around the series for several days.

The scene in which Twaróg kicked an innocent dog caused a lot of opposition. There were even reports on the Internet that viewers turned off the episode after this fragment. Now it turned out that one of the most juicy scenes was cut from the series.

A ‘wild sex’ scene was cut from ‘Rogue of the Dragon’. The actress revealed her reasons

According to the announcements, “Road of the Dragon” was supposed to be even more bloody and controversial than “Game of Thrones”. As it turns out, however, the creators have set certain limits for themselves. Although the series is intended for adults only due to the amount of violence and erotic scenes, one of them did not make it to the screen in the form in which it could have been.

It’s about bringing Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel) closer together. The scene already appears in the first episode of the series, but Cookce, in an interview for “Elle” quoted by Variety, revealed that the production’s showrunner, Ryan Condal, did not include the “wild animal sex” scene in the final version of the episode.

– It was downright filthy. It wasn’t pretty, but it was really fun to play. I think Ryan’s justification for removing this scene is that it doesn’t develop the characters. I don’t agree with it a bit, but ok. It’s his series – said the actress. She also added that she expected there would be many more intimate scenes in the production than were actually filmed.
