Repertoire, attitude and class made Jane’s Addiction triumph last night on the first day of the 22nd edition of the Azkena Rock Festivalin Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The Californian quartet, represented by its founders Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins, has had the added merit of making those attending the quintessential rock festival forget the excitement, which started this Thursday accompanied by water.

And it is that, after Txopet opened the festival with their melodic rock, furious and marked by autotune in the voice, the rain appeared and whoever wanted to see Crazy Brigadewhich had to suspend its performance last year due to storms, Whispering Sons and Ty Segall had to get wet.

That has not prevented, however, the powerful and adrenaline punk rock of Bergara, the dark and elegant post punk of the Belgian quintet (one of the treasures of this edition of the festival), where their singer Fenne Kuppens stands out, and the lysergic rock Ty Segall will shine in Mendizabala.

Next, the audience was divided between the performance of Tarque & The Riff Associationtotally classic rock and roll proposal azkeneraand the veterans concert The Sirex in a crowded Trashville tent, where the legendary “If I had a broom” has been heard.

Today in the second day of the festivall, it is the turn of Queens of the Stone Age, the Angelenos L7, Ezpalak, Redd Kross, Bala and the Murcians Arde Bogotá, among others.

In addition, the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca will host the free concert by Lisa & the Lipswith the vocalist of The Bellrays at the helm.

The organization has announced that the Azkena Rock Festival 2025 will be held on June 19, 20 and 21.
