The ladies don’t see each other at work very often due to the different timings of their live shows. However, in the latest interview, Anna Popek admitted that she recently had the opportunity to talk to Holecka in person.

Both ladies were one of the main faces of Polish Television, and although for some time they dealt with extremely different topics (Popek with light morning entertainment, Holecka with politics), there was a moment when they worked together on materials describing the political situation in Poland. Anna Popek and Jarosław Jakimowicz hosted an extremely biased program “In contra”, which drew inspiration from “Wiadomości”, the main propaganda tube of the former TVP. And vice versa – “Wiadomości” inspired some of its materials with situations noticed by the “W contra” editorial team.
In an interview with Pomponik, Anna Popek admitted that after the last conversation with Danuta Holecka, she was convinced that all the bad words about the former head of TVP’s “Wiadomości” were distorted:
We were talking recently and I realized what a really decent person he is. It’s so easy to make a fool of someone. I think that many people have had situations in their lives where someone said something bad and it went on for years, even though there was not an ounce of truth in it. They also said about Danusia that she didn’t help her people there, that she left them, that she was interested in severance pay. The truth was completely different, but no one wanted to listen to this truth. Danka is an honest person and loyal to the team. That’s what I can say – summed up her TV colleague
