“Rood of the Dragon”, an original HBO Max production (now Max), will be available for streaming in 2022. Based on George RR Martin’s book “Fire and Blood”, the story about the fate of the Targaryen family, taking place approximately 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones”, attracted nearly 10 million viewers in its premiere. The series record was set by its second episode with 10.2 million viewership. Although the season finale saw a slight decline, the first eight episodes of Bloodline were still a truly impressive achievement.
The second season of “Rom of the Dragon” with declining viewership
The series’ producers hoped that the premiere of the second season would attract even more viewers than before. The promotion of “Rom of the Dragon” had started in full swing a few days earlier, but this did not guarantee the production’s success as it could be said two years ago. Variety reports that the first episode of the second season recorded a 22% drop in viewership compared to the pilot episode. This time, 7.8 million viewers from North America sat in front of the screens of mobile devices and TV sets. Please note, however, that this result only includes the live broadcast that took place on HBO and the Max platform.
The next episode will be available for streaming on June 23 (in Poland it will be available from June 24). The cast of the second season of “Rogue of the Dragon” again includes Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint.
