Paradocumentary series have been an inseparable element of TV stations’ schedules for many years. One of the first series of this type was “Judge Anna Maria Wesołowska”, which, despite the passage of time, is still watched with pleasure. And what does the title character of the series do now? The 70-year-old judge decided to pursue a special mission.

“Judge Anna Maria Wesołowska” was broadcast on TVN in 2006 and at that time it was a novelty on Polish television. Paradocumentary series were just making their debut on our market at that time and some viewers may have been convinced that the trials shown on TV were actually recorded.

All hearings were conducted by the title character, Anna Maria Wesołowska – a judge of the District Court in Łódź, who plays herself in the series and was the only one to appear in all episodes. The program was broadcast in 2006-2011 on TVN, and in 2019-2021 the format was resumed, and new episodes were shown on TTV.

Although the series has ceased to be produced, it is still eagerly watched on television and on the Internet

Over the years, Anna Maria Wesołowska has gained the sympathy of many Poles, which is why the judge is often invited to various programs as an expert, and reruns of the para-documentary series are still shown on TVN7 and TTV. There is even a dedicated new generation channel, TVN Law and Life, which shows popular court shows on the Player platform.

Even though the production of the series has been completed, its main character cannot complain about the lack of activities. In recent years, she has become known as a person who is particularly interested in educating the youngest in understanding and applying the law.

Judge Anna Maria Wesołowska did not retire. He is a real man with a mission.

The judge often travels around the country and visits schools, where he gives lectures to children and teenagers. During the meetings, Anna Maria Wesołowska talks about students’ rights, but also about the obligations that the youngest must fulfill.

As reported by the portal, the popular judge recently visited Jutrosin and other towns in the Rawicz County, where she took part in meetings with young people and adults, to which she was invited by the Municipal Commission for Solving Alcohol Problems in Jutrosin and the Interdisciplinary Team in Jutrosin.

During meetings [sędzia – przyp. red] will discuss topics such as contemporary threats, including: on the Internet, violence, drugs, too early sexual initiation, the use of educational measures or the child’s responsibilities towards family and school – we read.
