“Linklater’s latest work excites, conflicts with our sense of morality, plays with contrasts and truly relaxes. It is a neat combination of comedy, action, thriller and noir cinema, which, however, turns out to be simply an unusual story about a strange love and brings to mind associations with much more serious stories about unusual duos known from films such as “Bonnie and Clyde” and “Gangster’s Run”. However, here the rules are exaggerated comedy plot and stereotyping of characters, which, surprisingly, does not detract from their authenticity,” I wrote in my review of Richard Linklater’s latest work, which was awarded an award. Oscar for the film “Boyhood”.

The decision paid off for Netflix, and “Hit Man” quickly conquered the platform. In the first seven days after its premiere, American subscribers spent 1.5 billion minutes with Linklater’s work. However, you won’t find a popular title on Polish Netflix. This is due to the complexity of the rules governing the right to distribute films.
