The Bridgertons. Netflix has announced the release date of the second season of the hit series

In the first season, viewers were excited about the relationship of Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Prince Simon Basset (Rege-Jean Page). Series two will bring Daphne’s older brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) to the fore. In September, Netflix released a preview of one of the episodes of the next season of “Bridgertons”. Now, exactly one year after the show’s debut, we’ve learned when to expect the premiere of the sequel.

“As is the tradition, the paper is donated on the first anniversary, dear readers,” is the beginning of a short note from Lady Whistledown, which the cast members read in the Netflix video. “I hope you find this card useful. The Bridgertons are back on March 25,” announces the mysterious narrator (voiced by Julie Andrews on the show).

The series, which is based on the series of novels by Julia Quinn, is a real hit of 2020. During the first month, it was viewed by over 63 million people from all over the world. While we won’t see the charming Prince Simon in Season Two, it looks like he’ll be cheering for someone. In addition to Jonathan Bailey and Phoebe Dynevor, the screen will be featuring Adjoa Andoh, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Newton and Claudia Jessie who starred in the release date announcement video. Joined by the cast: Simone Ashley, Charithra Chandran, Shelley Conn, Rupert Young and Calam Lynch.

Julia Quinn has published nine volumes describing the history of the Bridgerton family. Eight of them concern the love relationships of each of the siblings, while the ninth volume is a summary of the entire series. It is already known that also the series “Bridgertons” will not end in the second season.
