Known to a wider audience for her role as Julia in the cult series, she never really planned to become an actress. She graduated in art history from the University of Warsaw and then started working at the National Museum. At the suggestion of a friend, she decided to try her hand at the entrance exams to the Krakow theater school. To her surprise, she received the index and so began an adventure that changed her life forever. After obtaining her diploma, she focused on performing on stage, and over time she also began to appear on the screen, playing in productions such as “Family Life”, “Lalka” or “The Połaniecki Family”.

At the peak of her popularity, Milewska could not complain about her lack of success with men. Of all the admirers who sought her favor, Andrzej Zawada stole her heart. She met a mountaineer who was three years older than her during a meeting at a high-mountain club and immediately felt that he was the one she wanted to spend her life with. – The choice was decided at first glance – she said in “Viva”. – I saw a slim man who moved gracefully, supplely, with distance. It was something wonderful, she recalled. They quickly became a couple and then engaged, but they were in no hurry to get married. They decided to do it only after a decade, and not because of this, but to get an apartment.

Although they planned to have children, they never had them. Initially, they postponed the decision to expand their family due to work, because Milewska focused on her career, and Zawada regularly traveled abroad. When the decision was finally made, health problems arose that ultimately ruined their hopes of becoming parents. However, they did not intend to despair because of this, they accepted fate as it was. For a long time, they were even considered role models. Everything changed when it came to light that her beloved regularly visited her and, what’s more, he even had her blessing for it.

The actress knew from the very beginning that her husband’s passion, apart from mountains, was also women, and she had no problem with it. She accepted his numerous actions, which were not appreciated in the community.

I was accused of being too tolerant. But I found my husband so fascinating, attractive, and charismatic that I couldn’t keep him to myself

– she explained in the book “Życie z Zawadą”. She directly admitted that their relationship was so strong that she had no grounds to be afraid of separation. She knew that for him affairs were only fleeting adventures that would not turn into anything more serious.

– she wrote in her autobiography, adding that this tolerance and consent resulted to some extent from the lack of offspring. She also never planned to leave her husband, because she was “deeply certain” that the feeling they had for each other was strong enough to overcome all adversities, especially since she was not indebted to him either.

After the death of Andrzej Zawada in August 2000, Milewska decided to reveal that they had actually been living in . Not only he, but also she committed betrayals.
