Anita Werner ended the last issue of “Fakty” unusually. Instead of another report from the country or the world, she prepared special congratulations.

The last issue of “Fakty” began with reports on the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border. The materials concerned the buffer zone, which has already come into force. It was also discussed in the Sejm, where a decision on new regulations on the use of weapons at the border will soon be made. The program also included a report about Ambassador Magierowski’s departure from office and the return of two shopping Sundays a month.

In subsequent materials, viewers could hear about subsequent attempts to introduce civil partnerships in Poland, the G7 summit, where the war in Ukraine was discussed, and the enormous heatwaves that are already flooding Europe. The edition of “Fakty” ended with news from the country. Suddenly, Anita Werner stopped reading the news and turned to her colleague from the editorial office.

– And now big congratulations to our colleague from TVN24. Piotr Jacoń became the “Ambassador of Diversity” and this is an award for journalism that breaks taboos and opens eyes to the needs of other people – said the journalist, not hiding her smile and joy at the distinction.

The award in question is awarded by the monthly magazine “My Company Polska”. People, organizations and companies that promote diversity, equality and tolerance through their activities not only during Pride Month have a chance to do so.

– Rainbow sign people expect to be found in society within this diversity. Very often we forget that their feature, which is somewhere in one of these LGBTQ+ letters, is really only one of their parts – said Jacoń in the report.

The journalist knows the problems of the community perfectly because he is the father of transgender Victoria. They have been working together for some time on a book, which is to be another step towards breaking stereotypes and normalizing topics related to the complex issue of gender identity.
