. Polish Television allocated PLN 250,000 from public money for the production. The film was never shown, and Jacek Kurski explained that “the director was overwhelmed by the challenge.” Politicians expect consequences to be brought against the former president of TVP.
Dariusz Joński sharply about Jacek Kurski and the film about Donald Tusk
There are no silences after the website Goniec.pl published a little over 24 hours ago a propaganda work allegedly commissioned by TVP under the government of Jacek Kurski. The production with the working title “The King of Europe” was supposed to show Donald Tusk’s path to power, but from an exclusively critical perspective. In production, among others, words about the “birth of a monster”, statements taken out of context, loyalty to Germany and involvement in the plane crash in which President Lech Kaczyński died. The film was never broadcast, but it saw the light of day five years after its production was commissioned.
The society has the right to know how public money was wasted and how a public institution was harnessed in the service of propaganda – explained Goniec.pl journalists.
Politicians of the Civic Coalition are now commenting on the film, because Donald Tusk is the chairman of their formation. The following spoke: Dariusz Joński, who was himself attacked many times in a propaganda way on TVP in the “Wiadomości” program and on TVP Info.
This fit into the entire narrative of PiS, which from dawn to dusk was one big factory of hate and attacks on Donald Tusk and everyone who was in the Civic Coalition. These were daily attacks. It was another episode, this time not shown, but it doesn’t matter because every day at 7:30 p.m. the hate factory was launched to disgust, to mislead, to deceive public opinion. I hope that Jacek Kurski will answer for this huge factory of hate and slander, made with public money – said Joński in an interview with Goniec.pl.
Jacek Kurski answers and explains
Shortly after the film was published, Jacek Kurski also spoke. The former president of TVP explains that the idea was born to make films about the leaders of the most important political formations in Poland. There were also plans to make a film about Jarosław Kaczyński, while a film about Tusk was to be “overwhelmed by the director”. At the same time, he distanced himself from the working production: “I firmly deny that this production can be considered a production of Telewizja Polska under my management,” he wrote on Twitter.
