That’s for sure. Tomasz Wolny says goodbye to TVP

Tomasz Wolny finally said goodbye to Telewizja Polska. The presenter decided to leave the station after his new superiors did not entrust him with the role of host during the “(un)forbidden songs” concert.

On Thursday afternoon, Tomasz Wolny posted a post on social media in which he announced the definitive end of cooperation with Telewizja Polska. The presenter and former host of “Pytania na Śniadanie” had not appeared on TV since December last year, but he still hoped that the public broadcaster would employ him to work on an event dedicated to the Warsaw Uprising. The “(un)forbidden songs” concert has been organized since 2006, and for several years it has been led by Tomasz Wolny. This time, however, it will be different.

Tomasz Wolny says goodbye to Telewizja Polska

“Everything is clear. (Un)BANNED – but for me it is forbidden. After months of reflection, the new TVP authorities have just decided that they will not allow me to traditionally conduct a concert of ‘(un)BAKAZANE SONGS’ at Piłsudski Square on the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. Only on request Insurgents I have been patiently waiting for the decision on this matter, but now that everything is clear, I am finally parting ways with Telewizja Polska, which turned out to be an amazing adventure (because when you do what you love, it’s hard to talk about work) has come to an end. ” – Tomasz Wolny announced on Instagram.

The presenter has been cooperating with Polish Television since 2010. In the years 2014–2023, he hosted “Panorama” on TVP2, and from 2015 he was also the co-host of the breakfast program “Pytanie na Śniadanie”, where he appeared together with Ida Nowakowska. He lost his job at the end of last year due to changes that took place in the public media.
