Many of us look for ways to save money when grocery shopping. Various creators active on social media come to the rescue. One of them is @marchewa92, active on TikTok. The woman decided to check whether we can currently prepare dinner for one zloty. Her video has already had over one and a half million views.
Dinner for PLN 1? She decided to check if it was possible
She calls herself the queen of promotion. It is therefore not surprising that her films have many fans. A woman often proves that even nowadays we can make very cheap purchases. This time she decided to prepare an extremely budget dinner for one person.
You can’t buy much for a zloty, and my message is that even for such a small amount you can cook warm food.
– noted @marchewa92 on her TikTok recording. She bought small amounts of different foods. Then she prepared three different dishes from them. Her basket included:
- onion,
- carrot,
- potatoes,
- parsley,
- beetroot,
- chicken hearts,
- liver,
- broth portion,
- Cherry tomatoes.
Lunches were extremely cheap. Liver with onion costs 93 cents. The woman paid 90 groszy for heart soup with tomatoes. However, for beetroot soup on a broth portion – 91 groszy. You can see the results of the experiment here:
“It’s quite a challenge”
The tiktoker challenge aroused great interest. Many people praised her for her ingenuity. “Personally, I probably wouldn’t eat most of these dishes, but I greatly respect your creativity. It’s quite a challenge to make dishes for literally pennies,” wrote one of the women. “I’d love to eat it, respect for the idea,” added another.
There were also critical voices. “It’s all good, but I wouldn’t be full”, “The idea is good, but the canary wouldn’t eat enough”, “I would be ashamed to take so little liver and hearts”, “You also have to add the costs of: gas, water, electricity , dishwashing detergents, use of household appliances. Budget exceeded,” we can read in the comments section under the video.
