Netflix is gradually expanding its library of crime productions. Previously, these were mainly series, i.e. “Big Little Lies”, “The Lincoln Lawyer”, “Body on Fire” and the Polish “Feedback”. This time, the streaming giant is taking on two productions that have a chance of becoming a huge success on the service. We are talking about the third part of the crime story “Knives Out” with Daniel Craig and the TV series adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel from 1929. The second production is the responsibility of former “Doctor Who” showrunner and screenwriter of the hit “Broadchurch” Chris Chibnall. The first film adaptation was released in British cinemas in 1981.
Who will star in the next Netflix adaptation?
We already know who we will see in the cast of the film adaptation of “The Secret of the Seven Dials”. According to Netflix’s announcements, the role of Lady Brent will be played by Mia McKenna-Bruce, an actress who recently starred in the film “How to Have Sex” and received the BAFTA Award for a rising screen star. Lady Caterham will be played by Helena Bonham Carter, who played the role of Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter series and the Queen of Hearts in “Alice in Wonderland”. The cast of “The Mystery of the Seven Dials” also includes Martin Freeman, who will play the role of Chief Inspector Battle. So far, the website has not revealed the release date of the film. Fans of the crime novel can only wait for further information from the streaming giant.

The action of “The Mystery of the Seven Clocks” takes place in 1925 in a wealthy landowner’s house, where Eileen “Bundle” Brent tries to solve a murder mystery. In the victim’s room, he comes across clocks left on the fireplace. These, although at first they are considered an innocent joke, over time lead the main character to a dark organization from a London nightclub.
