Is cabbage difficult to grow? It’s better not to forget one thing
Cabbage requires a well-sunny place, but not hot or in the scorching sun. He also doesn’t like pouring. During the growing season, it is enough to water it about 5 times a week. However, right after placing the seedlings in the ground, it is worth watering it even several times a day, remembering not to flood the beds.
To keep cabbage heads plump, you cannot forget about proper fertilization. A deficiency of nutrients can be as disastrous as an excess. In larger crops, it is recommended to perform thorough soil analyzes every 2-3 years and then select the appropriate proportions of ingredients. When growing in a home garden, just remember to water appropriately and use natural fertilizers.

What is the best way to water cabbage and how to speed up cabbage growth? The key is this mixture
Nitrogen is crucial during the growth and formation of leaves. The best sources are manure, compost or biohumus. Most often, however, nettle slurry is used. How to make the simplest nettle slurry? In addition to a large container placed in a secluded place, you will also need:
- approx. 1 kg of fresh nettle leaves or 200 g of dried ones,
- 10 liters of water, preferably rainwater,
- gauze to cover the tank.
You can also add a spoonful of basalt flour to the slurry, but this is not necessary. Throw the leaves (cut fresh ones into smaller pieces) at the bottom of the barrel. Pour water, stir and cover with gauze. Set aside in a quiet and shaded place. Stir the manure every day for about 14 days. It will be ready when it turns slightly brown and the foam disappears. Remember that during fermentation it emits an unpleasant odor, so it is better not to place the container close to the house. Before watering, remember to dilute the slurry in a ratio of 1:10. Use approximately every 14 days. Apart from cabbage, you can also use it to grow roses, peonies, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, rapeseed, kale, apple trees, cherries and currants.
