After years of break, his career was revived thanks to the role of Pietrek in the series “Ranczo”. Today, at the age of 70, the actor does not slow down and surprises his fans with new challenges. In one of the latest interviews, given on the occasion of his 70th birthday, Piotr Pręgowski talked about his life, career and how he spends his time in retirement.
This is how Pręgowski’s career began
“I’m a comedian and I have nothing to be ashamed of” – he says in an interview for TVP. In his words you can feel his great passion and love for comedy, which has accompanied him since his early years. The actor recalls how, as a child, he was able to entertain his family by imitating samurai from Kurosawa’s black-and-white films.
Although his path to acting was not easy, and the beginnings of his career were associated with dramatic roles, that was it comedy became his thing. Pręgowski recalls that one of the breakthrough moments was meeting with director Stanisław Bareja:

Life after “Rancz”
“Pietrek, the singer, opened a new path in my career” – says Pręgowski, who started his adventure with music thanks to the series. His duet with Elżbieta Romanowska, which was created in the third season of “Rancz”, became a hit. “Today I have my recitals and concerts, which gives me great joy” – he adds. In the summer, Piotr often performs at harvest festivals, festivals and even weddings.
Two years ago, in an interview for “Fakt”, Piotr Pręgowski revealed that together with his wife Ewa, they moved to the countryside. It is a place that gives them peace and great satisfaction. “Mowing the grass, watering the flowers, chopping wood – these mundane activities give me great joy,” says the actor.
