Instead of a program on TVP Info, Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf read a statement. It’s about Kurski

Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf hosts the “Dangerous Liaisons” program on TVP Info. Thursday’s episode was supposed to be dedicated to Daniel Obajtek. It took place without the participation of PiS politicians, and was preceded by a statement from the editorial office regarding Jacek Kurski.

Daniel Obajtek has been one of the hottest names in Polish politics for several days. , avoids journalists from stations other than TV Republika. PiS politicians were also supposed to comment on his actions during the rule of Law and Justice and current political events in Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf’s program. No one from the party came to “Dangerous Liaisons”, but the host read the editor’s statement.

TVP Info will not invite Jacek Kurski

On Thursday evening, the “Dangerous Liaisons” program focused on Daniel Obajtek, the former mayor of Pcim, who was suddenly promoted to the most important economic positions in Poland during the PiS government. When he was the president of Orlen, there were numerous irregularities in the company, which are only now being brought to light. Because he had enjoyed the support of Law and Justice for years, they tried to invite politicians of this party who were in power at that time to TVP Info.

We wanted to ask PiS representatives many questions about the system of corrupt activities and also about Daniel Obajtek, who was running for the European Parliament with such an effect, began Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf.

Then she played Adam Bielan’s refusal and the silent calls of the most important PiS MPs – Mariusz Błaszczak, Beata Szydło, Rafał Bochenek and Joachim Brudziński. No one responded to the invitation, but TVP finally managed to contact the PiS press office. Politicians proposed that none other than .

However, and this is our editorial statement, for substantive and ethical reasons, the editorial office decided not to invite the man who destroyed the public media in Poland to our program. We do not agree to give a voice to a person who turned TVP into a propaganda mouthpiece for one party, we do not agree to breaking ethical, moral and substantive norms in Polish journalism.

We believe that if Jacek Kurski took an equal place with other guests in today’s discussion, it would be a slap in the face to media freedom and those who fought for this freedom, said Wysocka-Schnepf.

Jacek Kurski has not yet decided to respond to the statement of the editors of the TVP Info program. Busy with the European Parliament election campaign, he travels around his constituency. Daniel Obajtek is also PiS’s candidate for the European Parliament. The elections will take place next Sunday.
