The Spanish establishment Enjoy of Barcelona has been crowned the best restaurant in the world by getting number one on the list of ‘The World’s 50 Best Restaurants’which celebrated the 22nd edition of its awards in Las Vegas and in which the also Spanish Etxebarri Grill has achieved the number two position.
Enjoy is thus at the head of world gastronomy after rising from the second place obtained in 2023 the chefs restaurant Mateu Casañas, Oriol Castro and Eduard Xatruch, a year in which it already won the award for best restaurant in Europe. Then, the list was led by the restaurant ‘Central’ by Peruvian chef Virgilio Martínez.
On the 2024 list there are up to five Spanish restaurants, three of them also in the ‘top five’, where, in addition to Enjoy and Asador Etxebarri, the restaurant is also located Diverxo. The restaurant Quique Dacosta from Dénia and Elkanoin Getaria, occupy 14th and 28th place, respectively.
