– The sad truth about “Poland’s Got Talent”, i.e. the program that destroyed my mental health – announced the author of the recording in the film. Magdalena Kordula took part in the auditions that took place in December 2023. In the first part of her published confession, she said that she had even received a special invitation, and the casting organizers really wanted to see her perform live. She admitted that until the day of the performance she had the impression that everything was going to be positive. Until noon, she gave interviews, posed for photos and took part in recordings. The problems started just before the performance.
The artist noticed that the time for her performance was approaching, but other people were still being called to the stage. The surprised guitarist decided to ask the organizers when she would be able to perform. – It turned out that they moved it (the performance – ed.) to the very end, without any question, and they were not interested in the fact that I had to travel home for 3-4 hours in the middle of the night. We also sat there from about 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., waiting for my performance in the hall with other participants, she confessed.
Already in the morning they told me to get dressed, put on makeup, get ready for the performance and wait until the evening just to see the mocking smiles of the jurors who interrupted my performance halfway through, where I was playing the famous “Highway to Hell” on the electric guitar
– she continued. She recalled that during her performance, the audience started clapping. A second later, she heard the button beep three times, indicating that the performer was about to stop performing. She claimed that this situation surprised not only her, but also the gathered audience.
– Then the unfounded hate immediately started from the jurors, who didn’t even let me say a word about my performance. I was very surprised that such famous and respected people have such a low level, because if they don’t like something, they have to ridicule someone and insult someone in public. (…). It’s so easy for them to play with someone’s feelings, to confuse someone’s work with mud (…) – she said.
She tells what happened to her during the casting for “Got Talent”. “My will to live has completely disappeared”
She then admitted that after the December casting, she “couldn’t get her act together for over half a year.” – My will to live has completely disappeared. It was a very difficult time for me and in fact the trauma continues to this day. The worst thing is that I had to remain silent until the end of the broadcast, I couldn’t tell anyone about my suffering, not even my own family, she said. The participant of the program also revealed that she witnessed a situation in which the jurors insulted and ridiculed one of the participants behind his back after his performance.
She advised people who might be skeptical about her story to go to the casting to “see it all from the inside.” – However, if you are sensitive people who could make your value dependent on this program or even fall into depression, do not do it – she warned.
Storm in the comments. “Understand that the judges didn’t like your performance.”
Opinions about her confession are very divided, as can be seen in the comments. Some people defend the jurors and the talent show format itself, claiming that it is a matter of sensitivity to external criticism, and this type of program is governed by specific rules. Additionally, they emphasize that the jurors have the right to reject participants whose performances they do not like.
Understand that the judges didn’t like your performance and they have the right to do so.
Well, you won’t find your way in show business.
(…) It’s like you go to a freak fight and you’re surprised that someone is digging up dirt… It’s a convention and apparently you either did bad or there were better ones, and that’s all.
No offense, but you should gain a little humility (…) It is known that television likes to increase drama, but you also need to keep some distance

“TV programs are not an indicator of talent”
However, there were many people who understood the artist’s feelings and shared her opinion. “I read these comments and I’m surprised, because I haven’t seen so much hate in one place for a long time. The girl is sensitive. This is the kind of people I am sending this message to. There is no complaint about the fact that she didn’t win, but about the fact that they didn’t let her finish her performance and that instead of constructive criticism, she received hate. But as I see, it is not only media-related, but also universal,” notes one of her followers.
Exactly, I had the same thing on ‘The Voice’, sitting there all day, without any information about what and how, complete lack of respect for the participants’ time. It’s nice that you pay attention to this
– added another commenter.
The “Got Talent” program works in such a way that some people have to be dragged through the mud, some people have their music turned off, others have their statements twisted to make them look worse, but this does not mean that their performance was bad. Lots of people talk about it (…). Normalizing baseless hate in such programs is monstrous (…).
But she’s not the first to say that such things happen there, so why are you criticizing her and not this programmer? Moreover, even on TV it was visible that the jurors were making fun of the participants. If someone doesn’t have a sob story, they’re screwed.
I am completely surprised by the idiotic comments coming from the guitar room. I have only deep sympathy for Magda and I understand her.
The hate in the comments is terrifying. I’m not surprised at all by the lack of professionalism in this type of programs. The ‘jury’ are people created by the media. My namesake – I don’t know you, but I hope you have already forgotten about this thing called a program.
Don’t worry about them. TV shows are not an indicator of talent. There are other ways to get noticed. I believe you can do it
