At the end of 2017, during the so-called As a positive change, a journalistic website Tygodnik.tvp.pl was launched, where longer texts on various topics were published. It was closed at the end of 2023 due to the depoliticization of public media. Its boss was Dominik Zdort, who previously headed the TVP Info internet portal.
“Good change” in public media is history. Former head of TVP Weekly with a job at Ordo Iuris
Now the former national media employee has found a new job. According to reports, the former head of the TVP online portal started working for the ultraconservative organization Ordo Iuris Institute, which is known for promoting xenophobic, homophobic and anti-abortion views.
Dominik Zdort took up the position of senior research fellow there in the Institute’s project “Ordo Iuris: Civilization”, which, according to the foundation, is to contribute to stopping cultural changes in the West. This is the official description of the project, which can be found on the Institute’s website:
Therefore, the time has come to rebuild the wonderful edifice of social order, peace and development in which family, nation, faith and community defend man against the worst of slavery – the enslavement of one’s own drives. (…) It’s time to work at the basics and regain the Polish spirit. Time for intellectual effort. It’s time to inspire new intellectual and cultural fashions. It’s time for a new program for the state and national community.
A government commission to investigate Russian influence was recently established. And Zdort denies links between right-wing organizations and the Kremlin
In recent days, he has published the first text on the Ordo Iuris website titled “How to sew ‘Russian bunnies’. Political narratives intended to destroy the right wing”, in which he rejects accusations against right-wing organizations of cooperation with Russia. Apart from his new position at Ordo Iuris, Dominik Zdort is still a columnist for the weekly “Sieci”.
