Janusz Rewiński died on June 1, 2024, at the age of 74. The causes of the actor’s death are unknown. Rewiński was also a famous satirist, politician and member of the Sejm of the first term. “Thank you for everything. Wherever you are now, we hope that you ‘have momentum'” – quoted the famous quote by Jonasz Rewiński in his farewell. “Buenas noches, Senior Siarra!” – added.

Rewiński was best known for his sense of humor. Already during his studies, he performed in “Spotkania z Ballada” and Piwnica pod Baranami. After his debut at the Polish Theater in Poznań, he joined Zenon Laskowik in the Tey cabaret. Then he performed in a duet with Bohdan Smolen.

His greatest fame came from his performances in Olga Lipińska’s Kabaret and his role in “Kilera”. Stefan Siarzewski is one of the most recognizable and most frequently quoted figures in the history of Polish cinema. In addition to “Kiler”, the actor also played in “Substitutes”, “The Travels of Mr. Kleks” and “Tigers of Europe”.

At the turn of the 1990s and 1900s, he hosted the satirical program “Ale Plama” with Krzysztof Piasecki. In 2013, he started writing columns for the weekly “W Sieci”, with which he ended his cooperation in 2019. For some time, Rewiński was also involved in politics. In 1991, he was elected a member of parliament of the first term, and in the Sejm he led the faction of the Polish Party of Beer Friends. In 2019, he appeared in an election spot for Law and Justice.
