Peter J. Lucas, or rather Piotr Józef Andrzejewski, showed interest in the stage from an early age. He sang, played instruments and willingly performed during various competitions and festivals. After completing compulsory education, he began studies at the Poznań University of Technology, earning a master’s degree in agricultural engineering, specialist in tractors and combines. In the meantime, he wanted to develop his artistic skills, so he enrolled in the Professional Singing School and gained stage experience as a choir singer during concerts.

His acting debut is considered to be the play “The Blind” by Jan Astriab, directed by Lech Terpiłowski, in which he appeared in 1984 at the Grand Theater in Poznań. Later he played mainly episodes and finally, after 3 years, he decided to try his hand at emigration. During his stay in England, where he appeared in a series of commercials and spots, he received an offer to go to Hollywood. Despite his initial fears, as he was not good at English, he bet everything on one card. – You land in the United States and no one is waiting for you there. I knew little English, I had no acting training – in “Gala”.
Although the beginnings were not the easiest, he did not complain about his fate. He earned his living by working, among others, as a courier, postman and limousine driver, while in the industry he only played the role of an extra or an understudy for actors during rehearsals. He did not give up on this and constantly improved his skills and language, taking private lessons. Perseverance finally began to bring results and first roles. He appeared, among others: in “Baywatch”, “ER” and the famous “Inland Empire”. In the meantime, he also found love with the famous designer and owner of the clothing brand Elke Lesso, with whom he married in 1991.

At the end of the 1990s, Peter J. Lucas came to Poland to try his hand at the domestic industry. It was then that he played the paid killer Jackal in the cult comedy by Juliusz Machulski. The role not only brought him enormous popularity, but also opened the door to his career. During this time, he performed, among others: in “The Last Mission” or “Officers”.
The breakthrough came in 2006, when he took part in , in the finals of which he took 2nd place. On the set of the program, he had an affair with its then producer, Agnieszka Koniecka, with whom he had a son a year later. It was for them that he decided to return to the country permanently and break up with his wife. – After 20 years, I left Hollywood and started a new life in Poland – he said.
On June 2, 2024, Peter J. Lucas celebrated his 62nd birthday. Although he is professionally active and willing to take on new roles, he does not hide the fact that he still cannot find his way in the domestic industry. He doesn’t hide the fact that he plans to make a name for himself in Hollywood, but before that happens, he is happy with what he has achieved so far. – My family situation is already arranged to such an extent that I intend to introduce myself to the American market.
