A day after its premiere, the Polish film took second place in Netflix’s global top list. He has already jumped to the top

Netflix’s latest Polish crime story took 24 hours to reach second place among the most popular productions available on the website. “Colors of Evil: Red” is a global hit.

“It’s rare for a crime film to encourage me to read a book as much as it did in the case of the film adaptation of the novel ‘The Color of Evil: Red’. If a two-hour film captivated me, the original must have been very tasty. I watched it carefully not only because of the great cast – “It’s solid material for an evening screening,” Justyna Bryczkowska from Gazeta.pl wrote about the film “Colors of Evil: Red.”

Other reviewers were slightly less understanding of Adrian Panek’s film. Jakub Popielecki from Filmweb rated the production only one star. The critic did not like the script, direction and the return to the “tradition of cap busts” on screen. In turn, Łukasz Adamski from TVP Kultura complains in his review about the schematic nature of the image. “It could do with a dramatic twist and more play with genre clichés,” he writes.

However, the moderate admiration of the reviewers does not prevent the first film version of “The Color of Evil” from dominating the Netflix statistics. As reported by Flix Patrol, a streaming service, the Polish production became number two in the world among the popular platform’s films just 24 hours after its premiere. But it is not everything.

Polish film tops Netflix’s TOP10. He was second to none

On June 2, “Colors of Evil” Red triumphed in Netflix’s global TOP10. The film was watched much more eagerly that day than the latest sci-fi production with Jennifer Lopez – “Atlas”. Third place was taken by “Bionic”, a futuristic thriller about a dystopian future, in whose robots redefined sports.

Apart from the statistics podium, there were two parts of “Ice Age” and “Giants of Steel” with Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly and Anthony Mack. The list also included the blockbuster “Godzilla Minus One” and “Crew” about three busy stewardesses of Kohinoor Airlines.
