The “Kon-sty-tuc-ja” T-shirt has become an inseparable element of Lech Wałęsa’s outfit. The former president, who was strongly critical of PiS, appeared at every protest against the previous government. The slogan “Kon-sty-tuc-ja” was shouted during the demonstration to draw the attention of citizens and authorities to the free approach to the provisions of the Constitution by the Law and Justice government. The word divided into syllables became a symbol that united the opposition in previous years.

TV Republika decided to use the characteristic format of the “Constitution” and at the same time point to the most pressing issue in its case. . The station’s viewers can now combine business with pleasure – express their support for Republika TV’s efforts to obtain a license and financially support the television station, which has been profiting from subsidies from the PiS state for years. TV Republika released its own T-shirts with the word “concession” divided in a familiar way into syllables arranged one above the other. The T-shirt costs – almost PLN 60 – but you have to hurry, because it is a promotional price. The edition is apparently limited and its sale will probably continue until the National Broadcasting Council issues a license.

Interestingly, TV Republika will be able to appeal for licenses to three other competing stations at the same time. Along with TV Republika, other television stations are competing for a place in the multiplex – according to the Wirtualne Media website, it is certainly one of the channels of the MWE Networks Group. In addition, two more channels are competing for the place, the data of which is not provided by the National Broadcasting Council.

TV Republika has a license problem

TV Republika has raised funds to pay for the license, but the procedure for granting a place in the multiplex is protracted. Hence the appeals of the station and its employees to consider the applications before the process of bringing the chairman of the National Broadcasting Council, Maciej Świrski, to the State Tribunal. This will further extend the waiting time for a decision to be issued.

Meanwhile, for TV Republika, the license for a new multiplex means whether or not it will be shown on the TV sets of viewers all over Poland. Although the channel will most likely still be available via private digital platforms, it will disappear from state-organized platforms due to the so-called multiplexes. “experimental”, in the DVB-T2 format, which will no longer be developed in Poland.
