she met Arkadiusz in 1981 in Olsztyn, where he came to study, but also to learn dancing under the supervision of a trainer who also taught Iwona. As she admitted, they attracted attention from the first meeting. He was the one who insisted that the coach let them dance together.

Iwona Pavlović met her husband at a dance camp. “The feeling came later”

Iwona Pavloviæ started training ballroom dancing at the age of 15. She had several dance partners before she finally started performing at tournaments alongside Arkadiusz. However, love came with time.

First there was dancing, then there was feeling. I owe him a lot. He is one of the few people who does not lack patience. He carefully polished our arrangements. He picked at it step by step to get the victory

– she said a few years ago in Razem, they won trophies during dance tournaments. Together they decided to go to London to improve their skills. As she recalled, it was a difficult three years. – There were times when we couldn’t even afford a ticket. We had to share one can of Coca-Cola because there was no money for two – some time ago Pavlović in an interview with Poza Toruń. “I cried every day,” she added.

After returning to Poland, they took part in tournaments. In 1989, the couple got married. The marriage did not surprise anyone and for many years they were considered an ideal couple both among their close friends and in the dance community. In 1994, Iwona Pavlović ended her dancing career, three years later the couple opened their dream dance school. In 2003, she appeared on television for the first time as a trainer in the TVN reality show “The Second Face”. Two years later, she appeared on “Dancing with the Stars”, where she gained her nickname – “Black Mamba”.

Although everything was perfect in her professional life, everything was not going well in her marriage. However, the decision to divorce surprised not only those close to “Black Mamba”, but also the dance community. As she admitted to Krzysztof Ibisz in the “Understand a Woman” program, in the last years of their relationship the couple had only friendly relations. Arkadiusz had mistresses, which Iwona knew. – Arek lived his life and when I fell in love, I just left and the media spread the word that I was the bad one. – in program. – I knew about these relationships, but we had a nice partnership arrangement – she added. A week after she moved out, another woman moved into Arkadiusz’s house. In 2008, after 19 years of marriage, they started dating. Today they are both in happy relationships. Iwona Pavlović said “yes” to Wojciech Oświęcimski in 2009. However, former partners still maintain friendly relations with each other.

Privately, our paths have diverged, but we are still in touch today. We work together, my husband knows Arek, I know his wife. We respect each other and I think we feel admiration for each other
