Leszek Herdegen was one of the most popular artists of the last century. A handsome, tall, blond man with a characteristic, low voice attracted the attention of many women. He was associated mainly with Hubert Ornel in the cult series “Stake Greater Than Life”, but he was primarily a theater actor. He died suddenly, in mysterious circumstances, and to this day the mystery of his death has not been fully explained.

Leszek Herdegen got married twice. He separated from his first wife after only three years of marriage. His next chosen one was the outstanding director Lidia Zamkow. They met at university, where Lidia was his teacher. Despite the age difference of 11 years, they were united by their love of theater. It was a stormy relationship, often involving alcohol, and private matters mixed with professional life. – Sometimes they argued in front of the team, with insults and kicks – admitted family friend Antoni Pszoniak in a program dedicated to Herdegen on air.
However, thanks to his wife, Herdegen climbed to greater heights. In her plays, she cast him in the best roles, where he flourished and could show his talent. He avoided acting for other directors, most likely out of a sense of loyalty and attachment. – They became dependent on each other. He was definitely from her… He could do anything as an actor, he could play with the best, Swinarski or Jarocki, but he only listened to his Lidka and believed that cooperation with other directors would be a betrayal – Antoni Pszoniak commented on their professional relationship.

Did a “seat” kill him? The circumstances of the actor’s death are not entirely clear
His sudden death has not been fully explained. The actor died on January 15, 1980. for a heart attack, shortly after, due to alcoholism, he decided to have Esperal inserted (a popular method of treating alcoholism). When you have such a tag, drinking any amount of alcohol can result in death. One of them assumes that Herdegen reached for a glass of vodka at a social party, which caused his heart to stop. There are also rumors that Herdegen died in a fire that broke out after he fell asleep with a cigarette in his hand. None of these theories have ever been confirmed, and the actor’s death will forever remain a mystery that he took to the grave.
