Many patients go to health resorts for entertainment purposes. Every day they go to parties, make new friends and look for romance. – Older people come and have peers who want to spend time with them in the way they like – said a medical journalist in “Pytanie na śnidanie”.

In recent years, there has been more and more talk about what is happening in sanatoriums. It is no secret that many seniors lead a very entertaining lifestyle. Janina, known from the program “Sanatorium Mi¶ci”, commented on this topic. As she confessed, thanks to her participation in the production she fell in love with spas. – What attracts me: the atmosphere, flower carpets, and above all, what rejuvenates me, dances for my age. There are parties and dances, and then there are walks. In the city center there is a mushroom fountain powered by brine. “Fajfy” starts at 5 p.m., the girls are getting ready, we are decorating ourselves with our feathers – revealed Janina from “Sanatorium miłość” in “Pytanie na breakfast”.

Love blooms in sanatoriums

Medical journalist Monika Rachtan also spoke in the program. Her words may be surprising to many. – Older people come and have peers who want to spend time with them in the way they like. While preparing for this program, I called three primary care physicians who most often refer patients to the sanatorium. I asked if love actually blooms in the sanatorium. Guess how many people ask for a prescription for Viagra when they go to a spa? – she asked in “Question for Breakfast”. – We have no idea – answered the host, Klaudia Carlos. – Over 50 percent of men going to a spa ask for a prescription for Viagra! This love is certainly blooming in the sanatorium, said the medical journalist.

They go to a sanatorium and come back with HIV

Last year, it became famous that many patients were returning home with HIV. And this is an increasingly serious problem. – When the risk of an unplanned pregnancy disappears due to age, the issue of protection is often forgotten. It’s such a false sense of security and freedom. […] I think that people managing such centers are aware that couples often form in these places and various sexual behaviors are to some extent widespread there, said Irena Przepiórka from the Association of Volunteers for AIDS “Bądź z Nami” in an interview with Onet. And as she noted, Polish sanatoriums should start sensitizing patients to this problem.
