Ryszard Kozik (): Let’s start with one of the favorite characters of many children, Pucio. The latest volume of Marta Galewska-Kustra’s series “Pucio learns colors and sounds” is a small cardboard book. Pucio runs after a escaping butterfly, learning the colors in his surroundings. Your children will learn them together with the little hero, and will be happy to look for them in the illustrations! And at the same time, they will discover various sounds that can be heard in park, meadow and construction site.
Anna Kowal (): “Touch your nose, grab your finger” by Maria Kasprzak and Joanna Podgórska (Zielona Sowa) is a book with rhymes that help children get used to their own bodies, stimulate their senses and help them practice motor skills. You will also find ideas for sensory integration exercises. Doing them at home will help your child develop properly. .
“Fruits” and “Vehicles” (Harper Kids) were published in the series “Wise Child Academy. My window book“. Children will find plenty of windows that encourage them to discover the secrets hidden there. There are also friendly illustrations and moving elements thanks to which children can exercise their fingers and learn many new words.
Marta Korycka (): Authors and publishers have different ideas on how to familiarize young readers with books. I always pay attention to whether the sounds are not too loud and will not be annoying when the child plays them ten, twelve, two hundred and seven times. For other accessories, it is important to make them. Drops’ dog tail from the series “A fairy tale with a tail” (Harper Kids) looks good. I pulled and bent it, and although I know that children under two years old are even more passionate about it, it should survive it. And besides, we have a short story in verse and elements to find in the picture, i.e. which the little ones like very much. The series also includes a story about the tiger Carmel.
Ryszard: I will suggest three puzzles from Czucz. “My puzzle with a hole. Food” (+12 months +) contain seven two-part puzzles. In the center of each picture – egg (fried), avocado, apple, sunflower… – there is a removable circle. Of course, you can fit them correctly or put them in the wrong place. Playing with Removal and adjustment will be front.
“My first pair puzzle” (15 months +) consists of 19 two-piece puzzles with drawings of animals (e.g. cat, dog or mouse) and objects (e.g. star, mushroom, flower, car, heart). Play with this set can include not only on matching both parts, but also trying to name what is drawn in the picture and telling children about it.
“Puzzle for a couple. Fruits and vegetables” (18 months +) also contain 19 two-piece puzzles. Pear and strawberries, apple and gooseberries, carrots and peppers, cauliflower and eggplant… Children learn to match parts of pictures, point to and name complex vegetables and fruits. The puzzle can be put together can also be changed, e.g. into memory, it all depends on our and our children’s creativity.
Anna: “Goodnight, little chicken” and “Train” Natalie Choux (Harper Kids) were published in the “First Fairy Tales” series by the Little Children’s Academy. These are cardboard books with friendly illustrations and moving elements. In the first book, we meet a little chicken who has just hatched from an egg. We will go for our first walk with him , we will eat delicious grains, and at the end we will fall asleep in our mother’s arms. The second one will take us on a train journey! We will learn how the machine is built, we will count the carriages and see who checks the tickets!
Ryszard: Books “I’m putting together a puzzle. In the forest” and “I’m putting together a puzzle. In the countryside” (Harper Kids) are proposals for the youngest “readers”, who will find two-piece puzzles depicting – respectively – a bear, a fox, a deer and a hare, as well as a cow, a horse, a sheep and a hen. There is also basic information, e.g. that some animals have feathers, and other furs, cows love to throw grass, horses run fast, and foxes sleep during the day and go out to hunt at night. These are the first puzzles that can also be used to draw shapes (and then paint them). to tell children about animals. What makes them similar and what makes them different, where they live, what they eat, etc. etc.
Anna: Series “Maniek asks, discovers and understands” by Agnieszka Matz are three books – “Maniek says”, “Maniek guesses” and “Maniek does” (Zielona Sowa). They are perfect for children who are starting to talk. Inside you will find simple, colorful illustrations. The main character is the piglet Maniek. He is interested in everything around him, he also knows what sound a car makes, how to make a sand cake and how to hug a teddy bear. He will be happy to teach your child this! Don’t wait and discover the world together with Maniek.
Marta: My niece also liked Maciuś and Leon’s dragons. In the books by Katarzyna Wierzbicka with illustrations by Paulina Smak (Zielona Sowa), in new versions they are hungry (“Maciuś and Leon want to eat”) or try to force their mother to carry them in her arms (“Maciuś and Leon don’t want to go alone”. In this book secondly, they will learn, among other things, the consequences of their decisions. It is never too early to learn this lesson.
Richard: “The day Leopold felt… shame” and “The day Leopold felt… angry” by Dina Gellert (Frajda) are simple stories about great emotions for the youngest readers. The first book is about an ordinary Tuesday. During a writing lesson at school, the piglet Leopold was called to the blackboard. Suddenly he freezes… he did something embarrassing… something really shameful! Or at least that’s what he thinks our hero. What happened? And isn’t it worth remembering that sometimes something embarrassing happens to each of us? And when Leopold got very angry? his room. But the piglet doesn’t feel like tidying up, so he gets so angry that he decides to run away from home. What will his mother say when she discovers that her son is missing?
