Radish is an ideal vegetable even for beginner gardeners. For this reason, it is often grown in gardens or even in larger pots on the terrace. It does not require any special care, and we can harvest crops from spring to late autumn. It grows in virtually any soil and is resistant to many factors that may negatively affect other plants.
How to care for radishes? Growing it will not be difficult for you
When we decide to grow radishes, an important issue is where they will grow. A well-sunny position will provide good harvests, but the plant also does well in partial shade. A few weeks before sowing, it is worth digging up the piece of soil intended for it and fertilizing it with compost. The most important thing, however, is to properly water our seedlings.
Radish requires regular irrigation, especially during periods of drought. If we do not take care of it, the vegetable will have a bitter and astringent taste. When planning where to sow it, remember that it grows well with other root vegetables, e.g. parsley or carrots, and in itself it is a terrible companion for tomatoes, broccoli or cabbage. Due to the fact that it rarely gets sick, and by providing it with the above conditions for growth, you can expect a rich harvest.

How to save radishes? The spicy spice will end the pest invasion
Even though growing radishes is not a major problem, sometimes they can be attacked by pests. Flea beetles are small beetles that feed on radishes and cruciferous vegetables. To check if they are infesting our crops, shake the vegetable leaves. If you notice creatures jumping around like fleas, know that they are invading the radish. Fortunately, you can easily get rid of them from your garden. Just sprinkle the sharp powder right next to the flower beds. Thanks to this, your vegetables will be avoided by small pests.
