Virtually every woman struggles with the problem of unwanted hair. We fight them in many ways, but hair has always been, is and will be on our skin. Of course, we can take advantage of the benefits of beauty salons and undergo laser hair removal, but these are often high costs, and not all skin is suitable for this type of treatment. So when we are left with classic hair removal using a razor, it is worth choosing home-made shaving products.
How to get rid of hair with home remedies? Make your own shaving cream
To avoid irritation resulting from shaving hair with a razor, use a cosmetic that will reduce skin friction. By preparing it yourself in your privacy, you will be sure that it does not contain any unnecessary ingredients that could harm your skin. The shaving cream recipe is extremely simple and consists of only 4 ingredients:
- 100 ml coconut oil,
- 50 ml olive oil,
- 100 ml of shea butter,
- a few drops of essential oil, e.g. lavender.
Melt shea butter and coconut oil in a pot. Pour into a liter bowl, add olive oil and mix until the ingredients are combined. Once the fat has cooled down, put it in the fridge for a few hours until it thickens. After removing the bowl from the refrigerator, mix the mixture at high speed for 4 minutes. After this time, the consistency should resemble a light cream. Add the oil, mix and ready. Before shaving, apply a small amount of cream to the skin, spread it and start epilating. Thanks to it, you will avoid irritation and redness of the depilated areas. Don’t forget to perform an allergy test on a small part of your skin before using it for the first time.

What is good for ingrown hairs? Before depilation, make a sugar scrub
Peeling should precede every hair removal treatment. Thanks to it, you get rid of dead skin, cleanse the skin of all dirt and improve its firmness. Stores offer a wide range of these products, but the best and cheapest solution is to make it yourself at home. To prepare the scrub, in a large bowl mix together: half a cup of sugar, 5 tablespoons of olive oil and 1.5 tablespoons of honey. Apply the finished peeling to the skin, massage for a few minutes and rinse with warm water. Repeat the treatment no more than once a week.
