Bartek Wasilewski is a first-year student of a vocational school with a driver-mechanic profile, but he has loved music since childhood. At the age of seven, he started writing his first lyrics and putting beats to them. Just two years later, his skills were noticed by his older colleagues – then for the first time he entered the studio, where he could record a song in professional conditions. Three years later, Wasilewski made his debut on stage in front of an audience. He is the youngest rapper in Poland who supported Pezet and Paluch.
However, the 14-year-old’s victory also has its disadvantages. There were comments on the Internet that there was a “settlement” and Wasilewski won not thanks to his skills, but to his moving story. The boy was accused of playing on emotions and the talent show was unfair.
“I feel like everyone is looking at me”
Bartek’s mother commented on the situation. – We are a modest family. Bartek is young, young people perceive it differently. For me it’s scary, stressful and I’m happy for him, but at the same time I’m afraid to go out into the street. I have to keep my eyes peeled, I feel like everyone is looking at me. They notice me and congratulate me. It’s stressful for me, but it also brings joy, she told Plejada.
As it turned out, the teenager applied for “Got Talent” behind his mother’s back. – When Warsaw called me, I was speechless. I was speechless, and then, when I hung up, I said: God, kid, what have you done? But I still supported my son because I love him and I talk to him a lot and I simply trust him. I also see how much he wanted it, added the boy’s mother.
